EVENT PURPOSE

100 Voices to Save 100 SoulsTM is an annual event in which 100 or more individuals join together to sing in concert with the purpose of saving a minimum of 100 souls. The message is ministered in song with the intent of touching the hearts of the listeners, drawing them closer to God and causing them to either give their lives to Christ or renew their relationship with Him.

EVENT HISTORY

The vision of 100 Voices to Save 100 SoulsTM  was first presented to Bishop Michael Jones (Pastor of the Fountain of Truth Christian Center – Detroit, MI), by Yatara Reed in May of 2010 as an event to win souls for Christ and to help reach the church’s goal of increasing membership by 1000. With the blessing of Bishop Jones, choir rehearsals began on July 19th 2010. On September 17th, 2010, prayer service was held with the sole purpose of praying for unsaved individuals and families whose names were placed on the altar during rehearsals. The 1st Annual 100 Voices to Save 100 SoulsTM concert, was held Sunday, September 19th, 2010.

On Sunday September 15, 2013, during the 4th Annual concert, the song ministry of 100 Voices to Save 100 SoulsTM was recorded LIVE at the Fountain of Truth Christian Center in Detroit, MI. Their debut project, SPEECHLESS, released January 28, 2014  was nominated for a Detroit Music Award in the category of Outstanding Gospel/ Christian Recording.

The ministry’s 2nd release entitled ALREADY DONE was recorded live during the 6th annual concert on September 20, 2015 and released on March 1, 2016.

Since it’s inception the annual event has yielded the expected harvest of changing the lives of people through the power of God’s word ministered in song. The number of individuals who have either given their lives to Christ or rededicated their lives as a result of the outreach effort has increased each year.
